Printed in-house in Maidenhead
Printed Workwear for UK Businesses
Full-colour logos and designs printed onto T-shirts, hoodies, hi vis and event wear in our own workshop. We print using DTF (direct-to-film), which handles fine detail and colours that thread can't, and you see a proof before anything is made.
- No setup fee
- Full colour, any number of colours
- Visual proof before production
Why choose printed workwear?
Printing is the right choice when your design is colourful, detailed or big, or when you need a lot of garments quickly for an event.
Full colour and fine detail
Gradients, small text, photographs and multi-colour logos all print cleanly, with no extra charge per colour.
Big, bold designs
Large back prints, names and numbers, sponsor logos and event artwork are where printing really shines.
No setup fee
There's no setup cost for printing, which makes it good value for small runs and one-off designs.
Easy to change
Running a new event or a seasonal design? Printing makes it simple to update the artwork each time.
What is DTF printing?
DTF stands for direct-to-film. Your design is printed onto a special film, coated with an adhesive powder, then heat-pressed onto the garment. The result is a flexible, full-colour print that works on cotton, polyester and blends.
We chose DTF as our print method because it gives sharp results on the widest range of garments without screens or minimum runs. When a garment would look better embroidered, we'll tell you.
Need thousands of the same simple design? Ask us about screen printing, which we can arrange through a trusted partner.
Is printed workwear right for your team?
Printing is a great fit for:
- Event, volunteer and charity T-shirts
- Team hoodies and merch
- Hi vis vests with a company name on the back
- Sports kit with names, numbers and sponsors
- Tote bags and promotional items
For structured polos, fleeces and jackets worn by customer-facing staff, embroidery usually looks smarter and lasts longer. Many customers use both.
Printed vs embroidered workwear
We do both in-house, so you get an honest recommendation for each garment rather than whichever method we happen to offer.
| Embroidery | DTF printing | |
|---|---|---|
| Finish | Raised, textured and premium | Flat, bright and full colour |
| Best for | Polo shirts, sweatshirts, fleeces, softshells, jackets, caps and bags | T-shirts, hoodies, hi vis, sportswear, event wear and tote bags |
| Detailed or multi-colour logos | Limited, thread cannot blend colours or show fine gradients | Ideal, including gradients and fine detail |
| Large back designs | Possible, but heavy and costly | Ideal |
| Setup | One-off setup for each new logo, nothing extra when you reorder | No setup fee |
| Wash care | Any normal wash | Inside out at 30°C for the longest life |

Popular garments for printing
How much does printed workwear cost?
There's no setup fee for printing. The price depends on the garment and the size of each print, and our pricing is based on how much you spend, so bigger orders cost less per item. You can see live prices, including printing, on every product page.
Looking after your prints: wash garments inside out at 30°C and avoid ironing directly on the print, and they'll keep looking sharp.
Printed workwear questions, answered
What artwork do you need?
A vector file (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG) or a high resolution PNG with a transparent background is ideal. Send what you have and we'll let you know if anything needs tidying.
How long does printed workwear take?
Most orders are with you 7 to 10 working days after you approve your proof. If you need it sooner, ask us and we'll tell you honestly what's possible.
Is there a minimum order?
No. You can order a single printed garment or hundreds for an event.
Can you print names and numbers?
Yes. Names, numbers and different text on each garment are no problem with DTF printing.
Can you print on hi vis?
Yes. We print on hi vis vests and jackets, keeping the design clear of the reflective tape.
Will the print crack or peel?
DTF prints are flexible and hard-wearing. Washing inside out at 30°C and not ironing over the print keeps them looking their best.
Ready to get your design printed?
Send us your artwork and tell us what it's for. We'll recommend the right garments and send you a proof before anything is printed.
