Branded workwear, made in Maidenhead, by people who pick up the phone
SP Workwear supplies branded workwear and uniforms to UK businesses. The embroidery and printing happen in-house at our Maidenhead workshop, and we work best with teams of 30 to 200 people who need their kit to look the same on every order.
We won’t let you down.
Where the name comes from
SP stands for Something Personal. The business started out personalising gifts, from keyrings to glasses to aprons, and Something Personal Ltd is still the name on our company paperwork.
Over time the workwear side grew, and we stopped selling gifts so we could focus on it. Steven Palmer runs the business day to day. Before workwear he sold pianos, which turned out to be good practice for helping people with a big purchase they don’t make very often.

Made in-house
Embroidery and DTF printing happen in our Maidenhead workshop, so quality and timing stay in our hands.

We also try to do it responsibly: we reuse packaging where we can, use energy-efficient lighting and offer sustainable garment options.
When something goes wrong
We’re good at what we do, but we’re human. What matters is what happens next.
A school we’d worked with for years needed printed hoodies and t-shirts for new pupils starting that weekend. The order went out on the Friday. On Saturday morning they emailed: the front artwork had come from a previous order. We collected everything at 9am, reprinted around 60 hoodies and 30 t-shirts, and had it all back with them just after lunch, on a day we’re normally closed.
That’s what “We won’t let you down” means in practice.
Switching from another supplier?
Choosing a new supplier can feel risky. Will the quality be good enough? Will it arrive on time? Will someone actually pick up the phone when you have a question?
That’s why we focus on communication, consistency and doing what we said we’d do. We’re not a faceless online shop, we’re a team you can get to know and rely on.
