Professional Branded Workwear Tailored to Your Business

Branded workwear does more than keep your team in uniform. It communicates professionalism before a word is spoken, reinforces your brand identity across every customer interaction, and gives your staff a sense of belonging.

We work with businesses of all sizes across every sector — from sole traders ordering their first branded polo to national companies managing uniform programmes across multiple sites. We offer two main branding methods: embroidery and DTF printing, and we’ll advise which is best for your logo, garments, and budget.

Every order starts with a free visual proof so you can see exactly how your logo will look before we go into production.

Why Choose Branded Workwear?

Branded workwear is one of the most cost-effective investments a growing business can make. Here’s why businesses across the UK use it:

Professional appearance

Your team looks the part in front of customers, on site, and at events

Brand awareness

Every time your staff are visible, your logo is working for you

Staff identity

A consistent uniform builds team cohesion and a sense of pride

Customer confidence

Branded staff are immediately identifiable and trusted

PPE compliance

Where required, branded workwear can incorporate hi-vis and safety-rated garments

Reduced admin

A clear uniform policy and reorder system takes the guesswork out of what to wear

Embroidery or Printing – Which Is Right for Your Business?

The two most common branding methods are embroidery and DTF printing. The right choice depends on your logo, garments, and how they’ll be used.

Embroidered Workwear

Embroidery stitches your logo directly into the fabric using thread. It produces a premium, durable finish – ideal for garments that will be washed regularly and worn for years. Best for structured garments like polo shirts, fleeces, and jackets with clean, bold logos.

  • Durable – withstands repeated washing without fading or peeling
  • Premium finish – raised texture gives a professional, high-quality appearance
  • Best for: polos, fleeces, jackets, sweatshirts, caps

Printed Workwear

DTF (Direct to Film) printing transfers a full-colour print directly onto the garment. It handles fine detail, colour gradients, and complex artwork that embroidery can’t replicate – ideal for multi-colour logos, large back prints, and promotional clothing.

  • Full colour – no thread limitations, vibrant results on any garment colour
  • Fine detail – handles complex logos, small text, and photographic artwork
  • Best for: t-shirts, hoodies, promotional clothing, event wear

How Workwear Pricing Really Works (And Why Single Items Cost More)

How Much Does Branded Workwear Cost?

Branded workwear pricing depends on a number of factors. Here’s what affects your quote:

  • Garment choice – premium brands cost more but last significantly longer
  • Branding method – embroidery has a one-off digitising cost; DTF has no setup charge (provided you can provide the logo in the correct format)
  • Quantity – the more you order, the lower the cost per unit
  • Logo complexity – a simple one-colour logo can sometimes costs less to set up than a complex multi-colour design
  • Number of positions – a chest logo and a back print are priced separately
  • Turnaround time – standard lead times included; rush orders may carry a premium

Our prices are displayed on our pricing page. We’re a bit different to most workwear companies, where we don’t charge you a huge premium for small orders. Instead, we rewards regular, loyal customers and offer a discount based on your 12 month rolling spend. It means you don’t have to bulk up your orders when you only need a few top ups throughout the year.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is branded workwear?

Branded workwear is clothing supplied to a business with their logo applied – usually through embroidery or printing. It’s used to create a consistent, professional appearance for teams across any sector. SP Workwear supplies branded workwear to UK businesses of all sizes, with in-house embroidery and DTF printing.

How long does branded workwear take to produce?

Most orders are delivered within 7-10 working days of artwork approval. This includes logo digitising (for embroidery), a visual proof for your approval, production, and UK delivery. Rush orders can often be accommodated, just call us to discuss your timeline.

What file format do I need for my logo?

Ideally a vector file – AI, EPS, or SVG. These give the cleanest results for both embroidery and printing. If you only have a PNG or JPG, send it over and we’ll tell you if it’s suitable or what we need to proceed.

Is there a minimum order for branded workwear?

No. SP Workwear has no minimum order quantity. You can order as few as one garment, and we wont charge you more for a small order. We will, however offer discounts based on larger spend across a rolling 12 month period. We work with businesses at every scale – from a single new starter kit to full team uniform programmes

What's the difference between embroidery and printing for workwear?

Embroidery stitches your logo directly into the fabric – durable, premium, ideal for structured garments like polos and jackets. DTF printing transfers a full-colour print onto the garment – better for complex, multi-colour logos and casual garments like t-shirts and hoodies.

How much does branded workwear cost?

Cost depends on the garment, branding method, quantity, and logo complexity. We offer clear, transparent pricing on our website based on embroidery or print and the size of the logo.

Can you brand workwear for any industry?

Yes. SP Workwear supplies branded clothing across construction, healthcare, hospitality, corporate, education, automotive, trades, and many more sectors. Each sector has different requirements and we’ll advise on the most suitable garments and branding method for your specific needs.

Do you offer ordering portals for businesses?

Yes. For businesses with ongoing uniform requirements, we can set up a branded ordering portal – a private website where your team or managers can order approved garments directly. One client saw 68% company-wide portal adoption in their first month. Ask us about portal options when you get in touch.
