A shift in the events industry?
The World right now is a very different place to what is was only a month or so ago – the majority of workers across the World are now working remotely from home and relying on video and audio software to keep in touch and collaborate.
We deal with many customers who are in the events sector – primarily in the software and tech industry who exhibit at trade shows around the World and run sales events, training courses and host partner events. Depending on the type of event, these are usually held at a large exhibition centre or in a nice swanky hotel where attendees get wined, dined and looked after very well by their hosts.
We wouldn’t be surprised if there is a huge shift in the way many of these companies conduct their events – obviously there’s nothing better than a face to face conversation but with all the technology that is available to us now there will most likely be a lot more virtual events & conferences taking place over the next 12 months, if not longer.
Annual sales kick off with a difference
Many of our clients host annual sales ‘kick offs’ where they bring all the employees together for a week or weekend of learning, sharing visions and having fun – with the restrictions on large gatherings being imposed recently one of our clients decided to hold their annual kickoff remotely with each worker signing in online.
At many of these events, team members can be showered with branded work goodies – printed t-shirts, water bottles, hoodies and anything else they might find useful donning the company logo. With all of their current staff at home our client wanted to continue the tradition with each team member in a company t-shirt when attending their kickoff.
We supplied 60x embroidered and printed t-shirts with the company logo and details of their 2020 kickoff and distributed each t-shirt to each of the employee’s home addresses. With tracking information the customer was able to see who had received their t-shirt and it helped bring the workforce together despite being spread across many areas of the UK.
